Breakout session: Cultural districts and the technologies of the future

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The pandemic and its impact on the work, leisure and travel patterns accelerated a trend toward both hyperlocal and digital distribution of artistic content. What does this mean for concentrations of cultural activity that are often located in urban centers. What does it mean for a cultural district to have a meaningful digital presence? Is digital cultural consumption a threat to the very idea of what happens to downtown or could it be, on the contrary, a beneficial shift? Conceived in partnership with ARTTECH Foundation, this session aims to look at how cultural districts could harness the technologies of the future to create new models, experiences, and opportunities.
