Born in Canada in 1956, Michel Gagnon has been Place des Arts Programming Director since 2000, where he was responsible for developing the overall programming, he also supervised the artistic direction of shows produced by Place des Arts, and he developed many cultural activities intended for various audience groups. Prior to this employment, Michel Gagnon was the Production Director for the Opéra de Montréal and stage manager for Les Grands Ballets Canadiens. He possesses a music diploma from the Université de Sherbrooke. He is now Director of the LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura.
